The project
The new Sports hall of Nîmes, a curvaceous showcase inspired by Nîmes’ rich textile history, has been designed by A+ Architecture. It now accommodates 18 sports associations representing 11 sporting disciplines in 5 halls.
Named “Halle Ludivine Furnon”, in homage to the gymnast originated from Nîmes who won bronze at the 1995 world championships, the new hall boasts resolutely contemporary architecture and has been the subject of a comprehensive environmental approach: bioclimatic design, energy savings, reasoned choice of materials… all combine to create a project that is as beautiful as it is respectful of the environment.
Perfectly in tune with these environmental requirements, our Structure K lighting poles, fitted with our Paulette floodlights, were chosen to illuminate the forecourt and surrounding area. Manufactured from 75% recycled aluminum, a particularly robust and durable material, they were designed and produced in our Lézigno plant.
